The Solstice Retreat

Join us for a special, three-night “more than yoga” retreat over the Summer Solstice.


In the depths of the colder months, look ahead to a summer weekend retreat. A few days bringing us together in a beautiful, renovated farmhouse on acres of wild land, a few miles from the coastline. Big windows look out to rolling hills and create a restorative space for us to unwind, relax, and unplug from the demands of our day-to-day lives, to-do lists and devices.

Over the weekend, there will be no rush, only invitations to experience the world from a peaceful, and sometimes playful perspective. Join gentle, embodied and restorative yoga workshops, experience the benefits of chanting and breath-led practice, connect with nature and have time in the afternoons to rest and settle our nervous systems. Feast on nourishing, seasonal meals, and enjoy an evening under stars and around fire celebrating the Summer Solstice.


THE VENUE

Retreat to a newly renovated and solar-powered farmhouse set amidst 40 acres of beautiful Welsh countryside. There's a spacious and light-filled garden room for our yoga practice, kitchen and outdoor dining, and living areas with comfy sofas to relax in. There are 3 large bathrooms to accommodate the 6 roomy bedrooms in the main house and an additional bathroom and beds in the annexe.

Choose your own room, or embrace the retreat way and share with annother guest. Either way, there's plenty of space to have some quiet time to yourself, and lots of outdoor seating and spaces to soak up the summer. 


YOGA

Over the weekend, there will be workshops and practices to explore, guided by two experienced yoga teachers. Delving into the depths of yoga, philosophy, and rest - you'll be supported along the way, with all practices suitable for any or no experience. Morning practices are designed to be uplifting and start the day with clarity, including gentle asana (physical yoga/ movement) and joyful chanting. The afternoon and evenings will encourage us to settle, with restorative yoga & philosophy teachings. Everything throughout the weekend is designed to be inclusive and optional... Prefer to stay in bed for a lie-in in the morning? Whole-heartedly encouraged!​


FOOD

We will share eight seasonal, colourful and home-cooked vegetarian meals over the weekend, with plenty of choice and summer desserts for supper. Sweet treats will appear in the afternoons and teas and refreshments always available to help yourself. Please let us know about any allergies or preferences when booking.

  • Encouragement to rest, relax and have fun. We will gather in community for the evenings & make sure there’s plenty of unstructured time to explore or get comfy in the sunshine/shade with a book.

*If you are coming alone, which many people do, and you book a shared room, you will be paired with someone of the same gender. If you would like to share a room with somebody in particular, please let us know on the booking form.

A non-refundable and non-transferrable deposit of £150 per person is required to secure your place. The final balance is due 30th April. Once the final balance has been paid it is not refundable, and it is not transferrable to future events.

THE TEAM

Kelly & Rachel your retreat leaders: Kelly and Rachel met on a relaxation retreat in North Yorkshire five years ago and at the end of the weekend, half-jokingly spoke about one day guiding a retreat together. That dream took root as their friendship grew, along with shared loves of food, wild landscapes and mindful movement. In 2019, they embarked on their 18-month yoga teacher training journey together and have supported one another since sharing classes, guiding retreats and experiences at Ashrams, community gatherings & workshops across the UK.


TRAVEL

The nearest train station of Abergele & Pensarn is around 20mins taxi drive.

If you are travelling by car and are coming from the same destination we encourage car sharing where possible.

Arrivals from 4.30pm Friday & departure is at 9am Monday.

A half day retreat filled with brews, a comforting lunch, a delicious sweet treat, a yoga class to give you quality rest - for your body and mind! Drifting into relaxation with a blissful crystal bowl soundbath from ‘Shell McKee Wellness’.

Leave feeling, rested, renewed and ready to enter the new year with softness.

Prepare yourself as we approach the darkest days but also some of the busiest with the festivities!

Give yourself 70 minutes of restorative yoga followed by a tea of your choice; with an option to chat to others or simply take the time for yourself.

SUMMER 2026 RETREAT


A whole weekend Summer retreat! We’re holding space for people who feel called to gather, relax, find tranquility within and unplug from the demands of our day-to-day roles and devices. Retreat to a place where there will be no rush, only invitations to experience the world from a peaceful, and sometimes playful perspective as we match our heartbeat with the rhythm of nature.


THE VENUE

Nestled in the peaceful Welsh village of Llanfair Talhaiarn, a few miles from the North Wales coastline, we are retreating to a beautiful, renovated farm set amidst 40 acres of picturesque Welsh countryside. The farmhouse has the most perfect space for our yoga practice with luscious view of the welsh countryside. There are 3 bathrooms to accommodate the 6 bedrooms in the main house, along with an additional bathroom in the annex.


YOGA

Yoga guided by two experienced yoga teachers to bring balance; feel energised & rested. Morning sessions will be designed to be uplifting & start the day with clarity, including morning chanting. Combined with soothing restorative yoga & yoga philosophy for our evening practices.


FOOD

Seasonal, colourful, home cooked, vegetarian food will be served plus summer desserts. Sweet treats will be provided and teas/ refreshments always available!
